Aloha! This is Noriko.
This week is the last instruction week at UH Hilo and HawCC, and we only have one more week for this Fall 2017 semester.
IEP Fall II Session will be finished after the final exams on the next week! How was this session?
Today, I would like to share about HLS Hōʻike 🙂
HLS Hōʻike is a public presentation.
This is an opportunity for students to share their accomplishment of this semester to their family and friends who have supported their academic journey.
There were Kīhei tying ceremony, Hula performance by hula classes, and children books display created by Hawaiian language class students at the last year’s Hōʻike.
I look forward to the performance and displays of this year 🙂
After all the performances finish, we will eat together potluck foods which students prepared!
This is a great chance to know about Hawaiian Studies classes, so please come join us if you are interested in majoring Hawaiian Studies at HawCC!
You will get to see all the performances and displays, and also get a chance to talk to the students 🙂
Date: Dec 7, 2017
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Place: Papaʻā Hale (HawCC Manono campus)
I am going to be there, of course!
Please feel free to join us 🙂
See you until next time!
A hui hou,
