Level System
 
On arrival, you will be placed according to your level check results. The IEP has up to 4 levels
(depending on total enrollment). You can expect to spend from one to two sessions in each level (8 to 16 weeks). Moving from one level to the next depends on your performance in class, grades, test scores and attendance.



There are 3 core classes:
   Writing and Grammar
   Reading and Vocabulary
   Listening and Speaking

Each class meets 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday) for 90 minutes a day.
Classes begin at 8:30am and end at 2:45pm.

GRADUATION

 


Throughout the session, you will get advice and encouragement from your teachers on how to progress and improve your English. At the end of the session, you meet with your teachers one-on-one for a personalized assessment of your English ability and will receive a written report.

Orientation
 
The first day of the orientation, we will check your level.
Michigan Test: 90 minutes (listening, reading, vocabulary, grammar)
10-minute interview
 Writing sample
 
The IEP wants to know your English level. Relax, and do your best!
 
Week 1
 
First week of classes
 Meet and Greet your teachers and other IEP students
 First weekend trip

Week 4
 
Mid-term meeting with coordinator
 In the middle of the session, all IEP students will have a 10E5 minute meeting with the program coordinator. This provides students with the opportunity to discuss issues, concerns, and future plans.
 
Week 8 - Final Tests and Graduation
 
At the end of the session, instructors will meet individually with each student to provide information on student progress and final grades. Students also have an opportunity at this time to share information and opinions about the class.
