Aloha!
今回のブログではNoahがハワイ島ならではのレストランを5つピックアップしてくれました。知っているレストランはありましたか?
ローカルがお勧めするレストランは美味しいこと間違いなしですよね!
Kozmic Cones Hilo, HI

Originally operating as a Dairy Queen restaurant, Kozmic Cones has become somewhat of a staple of Downtown Hilo. It is the only drive-thru on the island (and most other places) that serves plate lunches! Along with burgers, fries, and ice cream treats, this place has something for all. Some of my personal favorites to order are the Teri-Hamburger platter, which is a double burger covered with Teriyaki sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion; it also comes with French fries and Macaroni-potato salad. The “nutty cone”, which is a vanilla ice cream cone (or in a cup) topped with chopped almond/nuts.
Broke da Mouth Grindz Kailua-Kona, HI

This restaurant in Kona first opened in a small location at a shopping plaza. Not only has it expanded in popularity, but it has moved to a bigger location. The pandemic has shifted their focus to delivery and take-out options for the time being. They offer large portions of mostly Hawaiian, Filipino, and Asian favorites including Laulau (traditional Hawaiian dish), Pork Adobo, and Furikake chicken.
Thai Thai Bistro & Bar Volcano, HI

Located in Volcano Village, Thai Thai restaurant is a must visit! The restaurant served strictly Thai dishes at the time of opening, but within the last few years, began serving American dishes, to offer variety as well as accommodate travelers coming from all over the world to visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, located just about a mile away from the restaurant. Popular dishes include: Pad Thai noodles, Sweet & sour vegetables with choice of meat (beef, chicken, shrimp or Mahi Mahi), Shrimp alfredo pasta, and New York Strip steak.
Dimple Cheek Café & Local Market Mountain View, HI

This family owned restaurant also operates as a Farmer’s market, selling fresh produce and fruit, along with specialized Health juices. Their food is just as special, served with large portions and fresh ingredients. My personal favorite is the Fish & Chips, which consists of a fish called “Ono”, either beer-battered or dipped in Panko breading, served with fries, macaroni salad, and/or rice. They are located just off Highway 11, in a cozy yet convenient location for residents and visitors alike.
